Lezyne was founded on March 1, 2007, by Micki Kozuschek, a former professional triathlete with extensive experience developing bicycles and cycling components. He returned to the cycling industry with a clear objective: create premium accessories that could meet the same standards of design and construction expected from high-end bicycle components.

That objective became the foundation of Lezyne’s Engineered Design philosophy. Lezyne began developing LED cycling lights in 2011. Its in-house product designers and engineers worked on the complete lighting system, from housing construction and electronics to lenses and measured lumen output.
